YowTRIP supports Schools for Humanity

Schools for HumanityYowTrip is a proud sponsor of Schools for Humanity (SFH), a small but effective non-profit dedicated to building schools for underprivileged children in developing countries. SFH was born through a very moving experience by its founder, Dave Brown, during his stay in Shashemene, Ethiopia last year building homes in the community as a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. He grew very close to the children and their families, and was saddened to learn that they would most likely not have opportunities for an education. So, he made a personal vow that he would return to build them a school.

This summer, a small volunteer team traveled to Shashemene to make arrangements to rent a building that would act as a temporary school until the new school is built. As a result, SFH is now providing an education to 160 children who otherwise would go without one. But to continue its work, SFH needs our help. For a mere $20 a month, much less than a month’s worth of Starbucks, they can provide the support for one child to attend this school. Working together, we can eliminate illiteracy one village at a time.
