| what to say about oxford, well i have lived here almost all my life and altho i am often away with work, it will always be home. a very picturesque city but small in comparison to other tourist destinations, it goes without saying the universities are a big draw. busy all year round but verges on the over crowded in the summer months. if you are visiting oxford as a traveller i would say that you could comfortably see most of what it has to offer in 48 hours. but be aware that you are not able to visit the universities any time you want, so do research to see which universities are open to the public at the time of your visit. oxford is more of a history town than anything else, asides from this there is not a huge amount to see. saying that it is the home to alot of students so there is normally a lively evening out to be found particullarly during term time. |
